MAORI AND PASIFIKA ENGINEERS

SPIES is a University of Auckland student association, aimed at supporting
​the growth of Māori and Pasifika engineering students, ​as they set out on their university journey.

ABOUT US
​In an effort to diversify the engineering industry, SPIES aims to meet the needs of culturally diverse scholars of the engineering discipline.

STUDENTS

Over the years, SPIES has seen many of our members graduating in their notable purple engineering robes. We hope that we can continue to support students currently studying in schools, university and beyond.

SPIES OUTREACH
By going out into schools and the community, we hope that our people will realise their potential in engineering and see the wide opportunities it offers; but more importantly, why they as young Māori and Pasifika are essential to the engineering world.

Many SPIES members have completed their journey at the university, and go on to excel in industry. They continue strive for success both in NZ, and internationally.

OUR TEAM

Each year, a new set of volunteers are nominated to serve SPIES to the best of their ability. As the back bone of the SPIES name, every team member is able to give SPIES their own spin, and are able to add on from previous years. They all share a common goal.
